The Gentlemen of Aspen outlasted four other clubs from around Colorado to win the First Annual Aspen Sevens Rugby Tournament! After finishing round robin play 3-1, the Gents beat Vail in the semifinals to advance to the final match against the Denver Harlequins who had beaten the Denver Barbarians in their semifinal. It was a slow start in the final, but Aspen turned it on in the second half to win 40-19.
